General Project Description

The Town of Fairfax is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide comprehensive California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) services for the Wall Property Fuel Reduction Project. This 100-acre undeveloped open space requires fire fuel reduction work (including prescribed herbivory, manual thinning, chainsaws, weed wrenches, and mastication) due to its proximity to residences. The consultant's scope primarily involves preparing environmental review documents (Initial Studies, Negative Declarations, EIRs), conducting various technical environmental studies (e.g., air quality, biological resources, cultural & historic resources, noise, transportation), preparing CalVTP Addendums and relevant notices, attending public meetings, identifying fuel types, conducting expert surveys, recommending mitigation measures, forecasting maintenance schedules, and filing necessary documents with local and state governments for compliance.
