General Project Description

The project involves stabilizing the concrete deck separating Switzer Plaza from Level A of Parking Structure 18 (PS-18) on the UCLA campus. The deck has deteriorated due to water intrusion and waterproofing system failures. The scope includes installing a temporary, horizontal steel truss reinforcement system to transfer structural loads to Level A of PS-18 and stabilize the structure for future permanent repairs. The project area encompasses 37,730 gross square feet and affects 14 parking bays.
