General Project Description
UCLA Health seeks an Executive Architect for the renovation of approximately 10,000 square feet on the 3rd floor of 200 Medical Plaza, located on the UCLA main medical campus. The project involves adding medical procedure units and associated make-ready renovations to practitioner offices, infusion services, administrative, and specialty clinic spaces. The scope primarily includes design services for demolition, alterations, and additions to the building's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, circulation, conveyance, fire alarm, and fire sprinkler systems, as well as new lighting, casework, and flooring. The Executive Architect will provide overall design and construction document preparation and administration, ensuring compliance with HCAi for OSHPD 3 (Clinic), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations, California Department of Public Health requirements (Title 22), and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The project also emphasizes sustainable design practices in alignment with UC policies and California Energy Code (Title 24) standards.
