General Project Description

This project involves the rehabilitation and construction of multiple alleys within the City of Costa Mesa. The scope generally includes mobilization; reconstruction of alley pavements with new Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) sections; sawcutting, removal, and disposal of existing improvements; reconstruction of damaged miscellaneous PCC curb, gutter, driveway, and alley intersection improvements; notifications to businesses and residents; replacement of existing traffic striping; installation of water quality Best Management Practices (BMPs); and implementing necessary traffic control. It also includes survey monument recovery and setting, unclassified excavation, cold milling, installation of Asphalt Rubber Hot Mix (ARHM) overlay, and adjustment of various utility covers to grade.
