Calaveras County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Calaveras County Museum Elevator Modernization Project, identified under Solicitation ID: 25-1040-10-910. Work is to be performed near 30 Main St, San Andreas, CA 95249, USA in Calaveras County.
General Project Description
This project entails the comprehensive modernization of the existing two-stop hydraulic elevator at the Calaveras County Museum. The elevator, originally installed in 1978, is non-operational due to degraded electrical and mechanical systems and lack of replacement parts. The modernization seeks to rectify mechanical, safety, operational, and cosmetic issues by upgrading the elevator cab, control systems, drive and operating equipment, and all associated safety components to meet current code and ADA accessibility standards. The scope includes hydraulic system upgrades (cylinder replacement, power unit upgrade), cab and interior modernization (finishes, panels, flooring, lighting, control system, monitoring, diagnostics), and door/safety equipment modernization (door equipment replacement, ADA compliance). Additionally, site and building system improvements are required, encompassing access, security, hoistway, pit, counterweight, electrical, lighting, machine room upgrades, convenience outlets, fire alarm/communication interface devices. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, tools, permits, testing, inspections, commissioning, and comprehensive documentation to ensure a fully operational and compliant elevator.
