General Project Description

This project involves the replacement of the existing Dogtown Road over Indian Creek Bridge and improvements to the approach roadway. The replacement bridge will be a 60-foot long, 24.5-foot wide single-span precast, pre-stressed concrete slab bridge, designed to accommodate two 10-foot lanes with 2-foot and 2.5-foot-wide shoulders and barrier rails. Roadway approaches will be raised, and approximately 400 feet of roadway north and south of the bridge will be improved. Stage construction will be implemented to maintain traffic operations. The scope includes demolition of existing bridge structures, piling work, concrete structures, reinforcement, structural steel coatings, temporary traffic control, erosion control, temporary creek diversion systems, miscellaneous metal, fencing, signs, pavement markings, and management of asbestos containing materials and treated wood waste.
