General Project Description

This project seeks Progressive Design-Build (PDB) services for the City of Redondo Beach's Measure FP project. The primary objective is to rebuild the Police Department Headquarters and renovate the Police Annex Facility, aiming for a unified, modern, cohesive, and operationally efficient public safety campus. The project will proceed in two phases: Phase 1 involves pre-construction and design development services including design, pricing, and preconstruction analysis to establish a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP); Phase 2 involves the completion of construction documents, procurement of materials and equipment, actual construction services, start-up, testing, commissioning, and warranty services. The scope encompasses selective demolition/rebuild, renovation, expansion, site improvements, infrastructure upgrades, utility connections, temporary facilities, and adherence to structural, seismic, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and environmental efficiency standards. The project emphasizes cost-effectiveness, durability, energy efficiency, sustainability, and flexibility for future technological integration and expansion, all while maintaining continuous Police Department operations.
