General Project Description

The City of Redondo Beach seeks professional consulting services to update its Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) to comply with the California State Water Resources Control Board's Order No. WQ 2022-0103-DWQ. The project involves a comprehensive condition and capacity assessment of the City's wastewater collection system, including 112 miles of sewer mains and 15 pump stations. Key deliverables include a risk-based targeted CCTV inspection program (with a $1,000,000 allocation), hydraulic modeling, development of a prioritized Sewer System Rehabilitation and Replacement Plan, and the preparation of 5, 10, and 20-year Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs). The consultant will also update the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Program, incorporate climate resilience measures, and provide training and implementation support to City staff to ensure regulatory compliance and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
