General Project Description

The City of Covina is seeking proposals from qualified professional transportation planning and/or engineering firms to prepare a feasibility report and community outreach program for a proposed pedestrian bridge. The bridge is intended to span the Metrolink rail line, connecting the Covina Regional Train Station, the Covina Recreation Village, and the downtown districts. The project aims to determine the best approach for the capital improvement project, engage the community in the decision-making process, and position the city to successfully acquire grant funding. The scope includes project management, developing a cost/benefit analysis, preparing design and structural considerations, creating conceptual renderings, and executing a comprehensive community outreach strategy through a partnering non-profit or community-based organization.
