General Project Description
The City of Alameda is seeking proposals for a 4-year on-call contract to provide gate maintenance services at approximately 76 City-Owned Facilities. The scope of work includes routine maintenance, emergency repairs (24/7 response with a 2-hour notification window), safe-off and temporary support services for events or construction, and installation of new doors, gates, operators, and hardware. Services are needed for overhead, roll-up, sectional, garage, sliding, and swing gates, as well as security grilles and various gate hardware like hinges, closers, locks, and operators, with a focus on ADA compliance and adherence to safety standards. Compensation will be on a negotiated fee basis per work order, based on time and materials with a not-to-exceed limit.
