General Project Description

The County of Yolo is seeking qualified consultants to provide professional engineering services for the East Esparto Sidewalk Improvement Feasibility Study and Design Project. The project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and address existing drainage issues along Winters Street, Grafton Street, and Plainfield Street in Esparto. The scope involves a comprehensive study to analyze current drainage conditions, assess the impact of adding sidewalks, develop and evaluate three alternatives, and lead to a final design. Key tasks include project management, data collection (field surveys, hydrologic/hydraulic data, geotechnical investigations), environmental scans (NEPA/CEQA compliance), design development (plans, specifications, and estimates), right-of-way and utilities relocation planning, and optional bidding and construction support. The project is a federally funded initiative through the Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG).
