General Project Description

The Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (including the Public Works Agency) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms for on-call geotechnical engineering professional services. These services will supplement existing staff expertise for various Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects related to flood protection (creeks, wetlands, channels, levees, pump stations, dams, reservoirs) and transportation infrastructure (streetscape design, sidewalks, utility undergrounding, road realignment). The scope of work encompasses project planning, subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, engineering analysis and design support, geologic and seismic hazard evaluation, construction recommendations and specifications, construction observation and testing, reporting, and post-construction monitoring.
