General Project Description

The City of Monterey Park is soliciting bids for comprehensive street sweeping services. The project's purpose is to maintain cleanliness across all dedicated streets, alleys, median island curbs, intersections, street centerlines, paved medians, and municipal parking facilities within the city. Contractors are required to furnish all necessary labor, equipment (vacuum and broom sweepers, or alternative sweepers, typically newer models meeting AQMD approval), tools, fuel, materials, insurance, supervision, and waste disposal for municipal street sweeping. Services are generally performed once a week. Optional scope items for which bidders are invited to include pricing cover the operation of an ALPR system, catch basin maintenance, graffiti removal, and bus shelter maintenance. Sweeping must achieve a clean condition, free of residue.

  • Quantity: Approximately 79  Unit: PER WEEK/QUARTERLY  Work Item: Bus Shelter Maintenance, Specifications: Weekly cleaning of bus shelters, replacement of trash liners, cleaning surrounding concrete areas, removal of stains/graffiti/litter; quarterly pressure washing and deep cleaning.
