Angels Camp City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Water Meter Replacement Project – Phase 1 and Phase 2, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 1404 Vallecito Rd, Angels Camp, CA 95222, USA in Calaveras County.
General Project Description
This project involves the replacement of 1,822 residential water meters with new automatic meter reading (AMR) units, furnished by the City of Angels. The work is divided into three levels: Level 1 includes removing existing meters and replacing them with new units without additional work; Level 2 requires excavation within the meter box, removal of the old meter, and replacement with a new meter; and Level 3 involves excavation, removal of the old meter, modification of existing piping, and installation of the new meter. The scope encompasses all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary, including customer notification, salvaging existing meters, testing for functionality, site restoration, and preparation of record drawings and documentation. Mobilization and demobilization are also required. Construction is planned to occur within school zones, necessitating extreme caution and adherence to all safety measures. Water service shutdowns will be required, necessitating advance notice and strict adherence to approved schedules (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday).
