General Project Description

This project involves the exterior painting of multiple school buildings, covered walkways, and site steel handrails/guard rails across various schools within the Pacifica School District. The scope includes thorough cleaning of all surfaces to be painted (excluding roofs), cleaning of gutters to remove debris, painting of all vertical building surfaces, exterior ceilings/soffits (including air registers), covered walkways, canopies, gutters, downspouts, and site steel railings. It also includes the removal and reinstallation of signages on exterior walls for painting. The project is divided into two bid packages and requires prequalification of general contractors.

General Bid Items

Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Provide thorough cleaning of all buildings and structures to receive painting (excluding roofs).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Provide thorough cleaning of all gutters on buildings and structures, including debris and plant removal.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Paint all building's vertical surfaces above ground (including doors, door frames, cover plates of exterior devices, mechanical registers or building vents, exposed pipes, conduits). Specifications: Excludes aluminum storefront door/window frames, vinyl/fiberglass windows, brick, Kalwall translucent roof panels.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Paint all building's exterior ceilings/soffits, including any air registers (except those noted to be replaced).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Paint all covered walkways and canopies (except elements of roof surfaces facing the sky).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Paint all gutters and downspouts (except what’s noted to be replaced).
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Paint all Site steel railings, including stair or ramp handrails and guardrails located on site and in the school's parking lot.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Remove signages on building's exterior walls prior to painting, and install back after painting.
Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Replace (2) exterior soffit mechanical air registers specific to the Ortega school building.
