General Project Description
The Carlsbad Unified School District is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed contractors to establish a pool of vendors for "as-needed" interior and exterior painting services across various District facilities. The project involves furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials (excluding paint, which will be furnished by the District). Key tasks include surface preparation (scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, spackling, spot priming), interior and exterior painting, pressure washing, masking and protection of surfaces, application of District-furnished paint via standard methods, furnishing scaffolding/lifts, site cleanup, waste material disposal, and touch-up/detailing work. All work must comply with health and safety regulations, be coordinated to minimize disruption to District operations, and completed within stipulated times for individual task orders.
