General Project Description

The San Miguel Community Services District (SMCSD) is soliciting qualifications and proposals from engineering firms for design services to construct a new booster pump station. This pump station will serve the District's existing potable water distribution system in San Miguel, California, aiming to provide adequate pressure and fire flow for current and planned future developments east of the Salinas River. The design scope includes preliminary and final design submittals, electrical requirements, preliminary pump selection, coordination for SCADA integration, site lighting, parking/service areas, and a backup generator using LPG with 2-500 gallon tanks, while considering the impacts of planned future 250,000-gallon gravity storage tanks at the same site. The District will contract separately for site survey, geotechnical investigations, and CEQA documentation, and will lead permitting/regulatory coordination.
