General Project Description

The Sweetwater Union High School District is seeking proposals from qualified, licensed firms to provide comprehensive pest control services. The scope primarily includes general pest control for various insects and burrowing/non-burrowing rodents (gophers, squirrels, rats, mice) for all District sites, campuses, and sport fields. It also covers routine monthly pest control inspections and bait trap services for all District Nutrition Services facilities (cafeterias) and urgent, as-needed emergency services for pests such as bees, wasps, hornets, ants, roaches, spiders, silverfish, rattlesnakes, and various wild animals like skunks, opossums, raccoons, foxes, rabbits, coyotes, and feral cats. Services must adhere to the Healthy Schools Act and California Department of Pesticide Regulation standards, including specific reporting requirements. The contract will be for an initial term of approximately two years with options for up to three additional one-year renewals.
