General Project Description

This project for the Sierra Park Water Company involves upgrading the existing water system infrastructure in Tuolumne County, CA, primarily in the Sierra Village community. The work includes the installation of approximately one mile of 8-inch PVC water main with associated valves, connections to existing infrastructure, and the removal and replacement of existing fire hydrants. The project aims to improve the water distribution system to meet California drinking water standards, creating a looped configuration and connecting to existing service connections. Additionally, the scope encompasses the construction of an iron and manganese water treatment facility, installation of 364 residential water meters and valve boxes, and improvements to the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, including solar-powered antennae on water tanks.
