General Project Description
California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to gather proposals from qualified firms specializing in Fire Alarm Notification Hardware and Software Upgrade. The project aims to replace obsolete Simplex Console and early 2000's era SIMS software systems currently used for monitoring fire alarms and security alarms across multiple campus buildings. The intent is to identify state-of-the-art technologies to establish a unified, scalable, and secure platform for monitoring fire and security alarms, enhancing life safety, and integrating with newer building systems. The RFI seeks information on design, installation, testing, project management, a unified software platform, cybersecurity, system integration, data analytics, customization, scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
