General Project Description
California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) is seeking proposals for a Fire Alarm Notification Hardware and Software Upgrade. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather insights into state-of-the-art technologies and solutions to replace obsolete fire alarm monitoring systems, including a 90's era Simplex Console and early 2000's era SIMS software, across 8 campus buildings and additional campus facilities. The project involves design, installation, testing, and integration of a unified, scalable, and cyber-secure software platform with associated hardware for fire and security alarm monitoring, real-time data display, fault detection, project management, data analytics, customization, and redundancy for life safety systems, to enhance campus safety and operational efficiency.
