Carmel Area Wastewater District is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT PERIMETER SECURITY FENCE REPLACEMENT, identified under Solicitation ID: 2568003*00. Work is to be performed near 3945 Rio Rd, Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA 93922, USA in Monterey County.

General Project Description

The Carmel Area Wastewater District (CAWD) is seeking qualified fencing contractors for a project involving site preparation, demolition, earthwork, and the construction of a new security fence around its Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The project entails the removal of existing security fence, footings, and approximately 76 invasive Eucalyptus trees (stumps remaining from previous work). The primary work includes installing about 2,200 linear feet of new eight-foot-tall chain-link security fence, as well as vehicle, pedestrian, and frog exclusion gates. The scope encompasses installing best management practices (BMPs) for erosion control, performing detailed surveys for fence alignment, clearing, grubbing, earthwork (including importing and compacting fill), and hydroseed stabilization. New concrete foundations will be installed for fence posts and gates. The project's goal is to enhance site safety and security for District staff, equipment, and infrastructure.
