General Project Description

This project involves the repair of a sagging sewer line at Gilbert High School, taking place between two existing cleanouts in the west parking lot area. The scope includes site preparation (temporary fencing installation, asphalt and base removal, debris haul-off), excavation (to approx. 8 feet deep, including shoring and dirt stockpiling), sewer pipe repair (cutting/removing existing sagging pipe, replacing it with appropriately sized Sch 40 DWV pipe using proper couplings, and stabilizing with sand), trench preparation and backfill (initial backfill with existing dirt, compaction, laying "Sewer" tape, final backfill and compaction), and surface restoration (providing base material, replacing asphalt, and applying a slurry coat). Trench plates may be required if surface restoration is delayed.
