General Project Description

This project involves the rehabilitation of storm drains, primarily on Carlos Street in the City of Alhambra. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to replace approximately 300 linear feet of existing 18-inch diameter storm drain pipe using the Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) method. Extensive work is required for mobilization, demobilization, and traffic control. Additionally, it specifies cleaning and post-cleaning video inspection of sewers, repair and reconstruction of 4" PCC sidewalks, and the removal and reconstruction of existing precast inlets (including curb and gutter adjustments and manhole raising). The project also includes trenching and replacing damaged 18” corrugated metal pipe with 18” concrete culvert pipe on Carlos Street (base bid) and potentially on Montezuma Avenue (alternate bid), re-establishing storm drain inlet connections. All work must comply with California Labor Code, prevailing wage rates, and includes requirements for a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and various public works and Caltrans standards.
