General Project Description

This project involves the rehabilitation of four potable water storage tanks (two at Donnelly site, two at Alcazar site), each with a 50,000-gallon capacity. The scope includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary for tank repairs, which consist of removing and replacing interior roof-to-rafter joint sealant, repairing interior and exterior coating deficiencies, modifying and installing new overflow piping, and designing and installing a new fiberglass interior tank ladder with a stainless steel safety post. Additionally, the work includes installing a new welded steel D-ring fall protection anchor, repairing and upgrading the tank vent screen assembly, addressing localized corrosion, and protecting all interior and exterior coatings throughout construction. Bid alternate items include the complete removal and replacement of the exterior tank coating system and complete recoating of exposed exterior piping. The project requires thorough site preparation, dust, vapor, odor, emission, and noise controls (including total containment), stormwater and erosion controls, and adherence to a site-specific Health and Safety Plan.
