General Project Description

Cal Poly is seeking proposals from qualified firms to upgrade its obsolete Fire Alarm Notification Hardware and Software systems across campus. The project involves replacing a 90's era Simplex Console system and an early 2000s era SIMS software system, which are no longer supported and pose a risk to campus safety. The scope includes designing, installing, integrating, and testing new hardware and software solutions to provide a unified, secure, scalable, and redundant alarm monitoring platform, capable of real-time data display, fault detection, and integration with existing campus infrastructure, including panic and security alarms. This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or lead to a contract award directly.
