General Project Description

This project entails furnishing and installing comprehensive copper and fiber infrastructure cabling services across 12 school sites within the Claremont Unified School District. The scope includes deploying new Category 6A copper cabling and 12-strand, single-mode indoor/outdoor plenum fiber optic cable between Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) locations, with the intent to replace all existing fiber runs. The project follows a "design-build" format, requiring the contractor to design, procure, install, test, and provide a fully operational system, including all necessary components such as cable supports, termination equipment, patch panels, and equipment racks. All work must conform to industry standards, including ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, IEEE 802, NFPA, and TIA, and is subject to California public works bidding and prevailing wage requirements, contingent on E-rate funding.
