Los Angeles County Public Works Department is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, ON-CALL LIGHT EMITTING DIODE STREETLIGHT MAINTENANCE SERVICES, identified under Solicitation ID: BRC0000583. Work is to be performed near 900 S Fremont Ave, Alhambra, CA 91803, USA in Los Angeles County.

General Project Description

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is for on-call Light Emitting Diode (LED) streetlight maintenance services across approximately 30,000 County-owned streetlights within the Los Angeles County Lighting Maintenance District 1687 (CLMD 1687), with additional support for County-contracted city streetlights. The contractor will establish and manage a 24-hour customer service center and an online work order management system for service requests and historical data. Key services include providing necessary equipment, qualified personnel, and materials (e.g., LED equivalent fixtures, hardware, adapters, photocells) for ongoing maintenance and repair. This also covers emergency responses for damaged poles, knockdowns, exposed wiring, and equipment damage, typically within five calendar days or two hours for emergency callouts. The scope extends to coordinating with Southern California Edison for electrical repairs, providing excavation notices (DigAlert), annual night-time and pole inspections, handling insect nest removal, and proper disposal/recycling of old fixtures and hazardous waste in accordance with the 2022 California Green Building Standards Code. All work must conform to the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and the California Electrical Code.
