General Project Description

The City of Mountain View is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants for independent Level 1 validation of its annual American Water Works Association (AWWA) Water Audit. This project ensures compliance with California law (Senate Bill 555, Water Code § 10608.34, and Title 23, Division 2, Chapter 7, of the California Code of Regulations pertaining to Water Loss Audits). The scope includes coordinating validation schedules, reviewing AWWA Water Audit documentation, assisting with input and calculation reviews, performing and documenting independent validation with data validity grades, conducting validation meetings with City staff, providing a validated AWWA Water Audit with validator certification, and supplying necessary files for annual submission to the California Department of Water Resources. The contract term is for three years, with options for two additional one-year extensions.
