General Project Description

The project focuses on crossing and corridor improvements on 14th Street in West Oakland. The scope of work includes installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at several locations, upgrading traffic signals (timing and equipment), removing and installing striping, installing new signs, constructing curb ramps and corner bulb-outs, and implementing a corridor road diet. The overall goal is to enhance the crossing experience for all users and improve safety within the corridor.
