General Project Description
The project focuses on surveying and repairing sidewalk trip hazards across various locations in the City of Oakland. This will primarily be achieved using the horizontal concrete shaving method. The scope includes surveying and data documentation for approximately 1,500 property address locations, in addition to the hazard removal. The work will be managed through Task Order Packages issued by the OakDOT Pavement and Sidewalks Group, Great Streets Delivery Division. Materials and methods covered include concrete and masonry construction, roadway surfacing (asphalt concrete and microsurfacing), rock slope protection, earthwork, and temporary traffic control. This is a multi-year contract for fiscal years 2026-2027.
