Oceanside City is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, JOE BALDERRAMA PARK RESTROOM DESIGN, identified under Solicitation ID: CIP21-00018. Work is to be performed near 709 San Diego St, Oceanside, CA 92058, USA in San Diego County.

General Project Description

The City of Oceanside is seeking Architectural and Engineering firms to provide comprehensive design services for the remodel of the public restrooms at Joe Balderrama Park. The project aims to improve the facilities' security, sanitation, aesthetics, and overall functionality, based on public feedback. The remodel must remain within the existing footprint of the current restroom facility. The scope includes structural, mechanical, electrical, and architectural components, leading to the preparation of final construction plans, technical specifications, cost estimates, and a detailed design schedule. The selected Consultant must hold valid certifications as a Certified Access Specialist (CASP) and in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). This RFP is for design consulting services, not construction.

Plans to include: Title Sheet, Disposition Plan (existing improvements, ADA path of travel), Structure Plan (sound insulation), Mechanical Plan (ventilation, odor/moisture removal), Electrical Plan (lighting design), Plumbing Plan (including optional exterior sinks), Architectural Plan (exterior/interior materials, finishes, fixtures). Specifications: Project Specifications in Microsoft Word format, latest edition of Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (“Greenbook”) applicable. Estimate: Itemized construction quantities and probable construction cost in Excel bid schedule format. Deliverables: PS&E documents at 90% and 100% stages, Building Permit Approval, sealed and signed documents by Architect and Engineer.
