General Project Description
The County of Riverside Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Riverside University Health System (RUHS), is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide temporary cleaning services for Environmental Services (EVS) to support RUHS Medical Center and Arlington (ITF) campus. The services are required on an "as needed" basis and aim to maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection control standards throughout the facilities, improving patient and community health. Key services include daily cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, terminal cleaning of patient rooms and operating rooms post-discharge, floor care (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, spot treatment), waste management (general and regulated medical waste), linen handling, and restocking of supplies. The contractor must ensure 24/7/365 coverage, respond to temp staff requests within 36 hours, use location-specific chemicals, and ensure staff pass background checks and have acute care medical setting experience. The scope also includes emergency response and special project cleaning.
