Riverside County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, GENERATOR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, identified under Solicitation ID: FMARC-335. Work is to be performed near 4080 Lemon St, Riverside, CA 92501, USA in Riverside County.
General Project Description
The County of Riverside Purchasing Department, on behalf of Facilities Management, is seeking proposals for Generator Preventative Maintenance services. The project entails performing monthly power failure tests, along with comprehensive annual preventative maintenance services across approximately 72 county-owned and operated generators situated throughout the 7,300 square miles of the County. The annual maintenance includes a mandatory 4-hour load bank test for each generator. The primary objective is to ensure the safety and functionality of facilities by preventing equipment failures and guaranteeing seamless operation during power outages. Any scheduled preventative maintenance and repair work exceeding $1,000 will be classified as a public works project, subject to prevailing wage requirements.

- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check all belts and hoses. Specifications: Tighten as needed.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check battery water/electrolyte level. Specifications: Load test batteries and visually inspect for leaks, cracks, bulges. Replace as needed (additional cost to County).

- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check battery voltage. Specifications: Under static and run conditions.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check water temperature. Specifications: After twenty (20) minutes of operation.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check each phase of voltage at the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS).
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check block heater operation.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Clean generator cabinets, removing dirt, debris, insects, etc.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Clean magnetic pickup.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Check coolant system pressure and test antifreeze for proper mixture and level.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: Each Work Item: Complete a four (4) hour load bank testing. Specifications: To manufacturer specification and requirements, using an appropriately sized artificial load bank.
