General Project Description

This project involves the installation of a new standby diesel generator, an automatic transfer switch, and a main electrical switchboard at the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center. The scope includes all associated electrical work, site demolition, excavation, trenching, compaction, subgrade preparation, concrete foundations for the generator pad, ADA ramp and curb patching, asphalt work in the parking lot, reinforced concrete work, chain-link fencing, chain-link gates, fixed and removable bollards, and new traffic-rated pull boxes. The Contractor is responsible for furnishing labor, materials, tools, and equipment, coordinating electrical work with SMUD, and transporting City-furnished equipment from the City's South Area Corporation Yard. The work also includes electrical testing, startup, and commissioning for a complete and operable system.
