General Project Description

This project involves the furnishing and installation of a customer-owned outside plant communication system, including City-owned outside plant communications cabling, termination, and administration equipment, and installation requirements for the structured cabling system. The work also includes general engineering and telecommunications contractor tasks such as installing duct banks, underground spaces (handholes/manholes), fiber optic cabling, splicing, and terminations. The infrastructure will be installed across multiple locations within Sacramento, including Northpointe Neighborhood, Del Paso Road, Bell Avenue, Marina Vista Neighborhood, and Midtown (28th Street between O St and J St, and 29th Street between Capitol Ave and K St). Key activities include excavation, trenching, backfilling, pavement cutting and restoration, protection of existing utilities, traffic handling, and public safety.
