General Project Description

The City of San Diego's Public Utilities Department is seeking qualified bidders to provide as-needed jetting and pipe cleaning services. This contract involves the removal of buildup and the cleaning of glass-lined piping within sludge blend tanks, digester raw feed piping, recirculation piping, heat exchangers, and other digester components at various wastewater treatment facilities. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary equipment, complete jetting systems, labor for high-pressure hydro-blasting to clear piping of heavy solids (such as struvite, calcium, vivianite), and the removal and transport of "cleaning byproduct," which includes hazardous materials. The contract has an initial term of one year with four optional one-year renewals, for a maximum total term of five years.
