General Project Description

This project entails providing citywide tree planting services for the City of San Mateo over two consecutive winters. The work involves annually planting 200-300 trees, a mixture of 15-gallon and 24-inch box sizes, across various public rights-of-way and city parks. The scope also includes maintaining tree health, providing necessary stump-grinding services, and adhering to all applicable ANSI A300 Standards and Best Management Practices (BMPs). The City will provide the trees and a staging area, while the contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, and materials such as tree stakes, ties, soil, debris disposal, watering equipment, tree fencing, and Gator Bags. The contractor will also conduct site preparation, implement traffic control, and perform post-planting inspections.
