Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, Aviation Boulevard Trunk Sewers Group 1 Rehabilitation, identified under Solicitation ID: -. Work is to be performed near 1955 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601, USA in Los Angeles County.
General Project Description
This project involves the rehabilitation of existing 21-inch, 24-inch, and 27-inch diameter Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) trunk sewers and manholes. The scope of work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for project mobilization, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, manhole rehabilitation using Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC), epoxy, or polyurethane coating systems, temporary flow diversion for storm events, acquisition of necessary permits and licenses, and contaminated soil removal and disposal. The work will include extensive activities such as excavation, backfilling, restoration of shallow trenches, traffic control, cleaning and removal of debris, pre- and post-lining closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections, point repairs, installing, curing, and testing of liners, and site restoration. Work will take place across various locations within the Cities of Hawthorne, El Segundo, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Los Angeles County.

- Quantity: 25 Unit: EA Work Item: Rehabilitation of existing manholes; Specifications: using one of the coating systems as specified in Section 3.9.1 of the Special Provisions (Calcium Aluminate Cement (CAC), epoxy, or polyurethane).
- Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Payment of direct costs associated with obtaining the required permits and licenses; Specifications: maximum allowance lump sum of $30,000.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Removal and reinstatement of the flow diversion for two (2) storm events; Specifications: including setup, maintenance, and removal and reinstatement of each diversion, and all work and materials incidental thereto.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: LS Work Item: Additional costs to comply with modified and/or additional conditions and requirements imposed by the required permits or permitting jurisdictions; Specifications: on a time and material basis, lump sum of $60,000.
- Quantity: 1 Unit: CY Work Item: Removing, handling, stockpiling, covering, transporting, and disposing at an approved facility off-site of contaminated soil; Specifications: approximately one (1) cubic yard, including structure backfill per Section 300-3.5 of the Standard Specifications, and all work and materials incidental thereto.
