General Project Description

This public works project involves implementing traffic calming measures on Willits Street, Elder Avenue, and Center Street in the City of Santa Ana. The scope includes the placement of asphalt concrete pavement, installation of speed cushions, and extensive signing and striping work. It also covers general civil engineering work such as clearing, grubbing, excavation, subgrade preparation, cold milling, slurry seal surfacing, asphalt concrete paving, pavement fabric installation, crack repair, patching, Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) work (curbs, gutters, walks, ramps, driveway approaches, alley aprons, cross gutters, grinding, and pavement construction), landscaping and irrigation repair, root shaving, adjustment of surface utilities to grade, pulverize & cement-treating existing pavement and subgrade, removal of excess pulverized material, and cold in-place recycling of asphalt mix (CIR/CCPR/CIREAM). The project emphasizes compliance with prevailing wage laws, material verification, and traffic control for construction and maintenance work zones, including temporary traffic control.
