General Project Description
The City Library IT Department is seeking qualified and certified E-Rate vendors to provide, install, and configure a new wireless access point (AP) infrastructure across its 11 branch locations and the Library Headquarters. The project involves replacing 89 existing indoor UniFi access points and 1 outdoor-capable unit with new, manufacturer-supported equipment. The vendor will be responsible for the complete deployment process, including removal of existing equipment, installation of new APs, labeling, cabling, configuration, post-installation verification, network design and validation, equipment procurement, and integration with a new wireless management platform. The scope also includes manufacturer-backed hardware replacement, defined support response times, and an escalation path for service issues, with a focus on ensuring reliability, coverage, compatibility, standardized deployment, safety, cost-effectiveness, and E-Rate compliance. Prevailing wages apply to installation.
