General Project Description

This project involves the installation and retrofit of a fully functional wet pipe fire sprinkler system at the Engineering Tower Sprinkler System building at the University of California, Irvine. The scope includes installing an underground main water feed for the fire suppression system, fire pumps, back-flow devices, and all necessary piping, equipment, and apparatuses. The existing dry standby pipe will be re-purposed as the main wet sprinkler riser, and sprinkler systems will be installed on all floors to provide a fully sprinklered building. Design for the sprinkler layout will be a deferred submittal. The work also includes abatement on some floors.
