General Project Description

This project involves the installation of a complete wet pipe fire sprinkler system within the Engineering Tower at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). The scope includes installing the underground main water feed, fire pumps, back-flow devices, and all required piping and equipment for a fully functional system. Contractors will also re-purpose the existing dry standby pipe as a main wet sprinkler raiser, and install sprinkler systems on all floors to provide a fully sprinklered building. The design for the sprinkler layout will be a deferred submittal, and work will include abatement on some floors.
