General Project Description
The Buena Sanitation District (BSD) is soliciting proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide comprehensive design services for sewer capacity improvements in the City of Vista. The project involves upsizing an approximately 667-foot long, 15-inch VCP sewer to a 24-inch diameter pipe located on Sycamore Avenue beneath CA SR-78. The scope of services includes design surveying, geotechnical investigation, engineering design, permitting assistance, development of a complete set of design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, bid support, and construction support. Key tasks involve hydraulic analysis, utility coordination and potholing, geotechnical exploration and reporting, project alignment optimization, environmental permitting (CEQA/Caltrans), erosion control planning, and phased design deliverables (Preliminary Design Report, 30%, 60%, 90% and Final Design).
