General Project Description
This project involves the removal and replacement of pavement on approximately 50 miles of local streets across San José. The primary scope includes grinding, cold milling, hauling, and disposal of existing failed asphalt concrete pavement areas, crack filling of finer cracks, raising and reconstructing appurtenances and survey monuments to grade, street sweeping, preparing traffic control plans, obtaining necessary permits, and implementing storm drain inlet protection. The work prepares the streets for 2026 Local Streets Sealing Pavement and Cape Seal Pilot Pavement projects.
