General Project Description

This project, known as Big Ten Network Phase 2, involves providing National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sports facility broadcast improvements and upgrades at Mapes Beach (beach volleyball), Spieker Aquatic Center (swimming and water polo), and John Wooden Center (volleyball). The scope also includes improvements to the campus fiber optic cabling infrastructure. The primary goal is to support UCLA's transition to the Big Ten Conference, enabling multiple simultaneous live broadcasts of UCLA athletic events, and establishing a pathway for future campus fiber network expansion. Broadcast Integrator subcontractors are specifically sought to furnish and install Broadcast Cabling and Equipment Systems at the three athletic facilities, including Junction Boxes (JBT's) at camera positions and Television Reception Panels (TVRPs). The work also requires ensuring full functionality and compatibility with University-provided mobile broadcast studio units and a Press Box interface rack. Hazmat abatement will be required, and work may be phased to maintain facility operations.
