Los Angeles University of California is seeking bids from qualified and interested contractors for the following project titled, RRUMC NURSE CALL REPLACEMENT, identified under Solicitation ID: 944108.01. Work is to be performed near Ucla Parking, 757 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095, USA in Los Angeles County.
General Project Description
The project involves replacing the obsolete Rauland Responder IV nurse call system at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. The scope includes decommissioning the existing system, upgrading low-voltage electrical systems (new receptacles, network cabling, conduits, nurse call stations), installing new Hill-Rom (Baxter) nurse call system components (nurse call buttons, wall-mounted devices, consoles, display panels, corridor and over-door lights) in patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and nurse stations. It also involves integrating with other hospital systems such as alarm, paging, communication, electronic health records, fire life safety, and upgrading communication consoles in distribution frame rooms. Extensive testing, commissioning, and related finishes including demolition, firestopping, access doors, suspended acoustical ceilings, and interior painting are required. Staging and sequencing must be carefully managed due to the operational nature of the 11-story, 556,535 asf hospital facility.
