General Project Description
This project entails the replacement of an obsolete steam autoclave with an electric dry heat sterilizer for mice cages in Room B -64 of the Biomedical Sciences Research Building (BSRB) at the University of California, Los Angeles campus. The scope of work includes the removal of the existing steam autoclave and associated steam pipes, comprehensive upgrades to the building’s electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, provision and installation of the new electric dry heat sterilizer, and necessary seismic anchorage, fire/life safety, and accessibility improvements. The total project area is approximately 1,666 asf (1,998 gsf).
